This week
we will be setting up our ISN, reviewing continents and oceans, previewing our
first unit in the text and creating a tab book for the 5 themes of geography.
Friday is September 11, and the class will be participating in a reflective
activity to honor those that died 14 years ago. Looking ahead to Monday and
Tuesday of the following week, we will be working on vocabulary relating to globes
and creating a graded foldable focusing on lines of latitude and longitude and
the hemispheres.
Students should be studying their continents and oceans each night. A blank map was passed out on 9/10. There is a a correctly labeled map in their ISN (notebook). Two online games are located at: http://www.quia.com/hm/46193.html and http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/World_Continents.htm
