September 14 to 18

Students should be practicing finding continents and oceans using the blank map provided on Thursday 9/10 and their ISN (notebook) EVERY NIGHT. Two online games are located at: http://www.quia.com/hm/46193.html   and http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/World_Continents.htm  
On Monday we will finish our discussion of 9-11 and the 5 themes of geography vocabulary; we will also start reading pages G4-G5 (Using Globes). Please finish reading at home as needed.

Tuesday students will be working on a foldable for the vocabulary on pages G4-G5. As time permits we will start a map-labeling lines of latitude, longitude and the 4 hemispheres.

Wednesday brings DIBELS testing for students during periods 4, 5, 6. Periods 1, 2 and 3 will be working on foldables.

Thursday brings DIBELS testing for students during periods 1, 2 and possibly 3. Periods 4 and 6 will be working on foldables. Period 5 will be working in worksheet 12/13.

Friday 

EVERY NIGHT – practice continents and oceans
Monday – finish reading G4-G5 as needed
Tuesday – periods 1, 2, 3, 6: make sure your vocab foldable (continent, hemisphere, latitude, longitude) is finished. See: Using Globe Vocab Setup directions 
period 5 - make sure your map is finished (lines of latitude, longitude and the 4 hemispheres)
period 4 - make sure you have the definitions for continent, hemisphere, latitude, longitude in your ISN

Wednesday – DIBELS testing 4, 5, 6.  Periods 1, 2, 3 Homework - read pages G6-G8. All classes: practice continents and oceans. 
Thursday - DIBELS testing  periods 1, 2, 3. 
Period 4 - practice oceans, continents. 
Period 5 - finish page 12/13 as needed, read G6-G9; practice oceans, continents, lines of latitude and longitude, hemispheres. 
Period 6 - read G6-G9, practice oceans, continents, lines of latitude and longitude, hemispheres
Friday – all classes - practice oceans, continents, lines of latitude and longitude, hemispheres
