Tuesday – In class: finish presentations as needed; HW: read pages 42-45 in textbook
Wednesday – HW: read pages 46-49 in textbook, finish Current Event activity as needed
Thursday – finish vocab as needed (technology, Old Stone Age, hunter-gatherer, archaeology, archaeologist (page 32), Border Cave (page R49)
Friday – have a great weekend!

Period 4
Monday – artifact topic due
Homework for all week – ask owner of your artifact questions from handout page 5. Be sure to WRITE down the answers. After your artifact has been approved, you may bring it to school. ALL artifacts due in school by Tuesday, 11/3.
What is the artifact?
Who did it belong to? Who is the caretaker now?
How old is it?
Was is made by the owner? Was it made in a factory?
How did the owner acquire it? (example – Was it a gift? Was it bought? Did they win it?)
What was/is it used for?
How was it used? (example – How does one hold the tool? How does one wear the jewelry?)
How does the object affect the understanding of the society or historical period it is from? AND/OR Why is this item important to your family?
Interesting/funny/unique story about the item.
